Tower of Song

Rectangular shaped vessel with blue glaze interior. This unique vase was carved from a single cube of low fire white clay which has been carved and hollowed out when leather hard. Additional textured clay and carvings are applied when the piece is leather hard. After the final glaze firing, acrylic paints are apllied to the exterior to produce an aged appearance to the form.
